Self-cleaning glass, included on every roof lantern and rooflight

A coating uses daylight to loosen organic dirt, then lets rain rinse it away in sheets rather than spots. Less time on a ladder, clearer glass for longer, and it is built into the price.

Glazing questions, answered

Yes. Self-cleaning glass is included in the price on every roof lantern and rooflight, across all finishes. It uses daylight to break down dirt so rain rinses it away evenly.
Clear glass gives the brightest, truest view. Solar finishes add a coating, and often a tint, that turns away a share of the sun's heat and glare, which helps large or south-facing glazing stay comfortable.
A solar control finish such as Ambi-SunShade Blue or Ambi-Ultra on a lantern, or Solar Grey on a frameless rooflight, will manage heat build-up and glare best.
Yes. Frameless rooflights offer a Satin Privacy finish, and internal doors can take satin or reeded glass, all of which let light through while obscuring the view.
Yes. Glazing is covered by a guarantee of up to 20 years, with the exact length and cover shown on each product page.
